Home and Community Supports are for people who live in the family home and provide assistance with activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) such as bathing, toileting, transferring and mobility, meal preparation (but not the cost of the meals), assistance with eating and incidental household cleaning and laundry which are essential to the health, safety, and welfare of the person. Other activities can include assistance with keeping appointments, use of natural supports and other typical community services available to all people, social activities and participation in leisure activities.
